CNA Risk Control Director Honored by American Society of Safety Engineers

NEW YORK, May 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), the world's oldest professional safety society, recently named CNA's Michael F. Murray, Risk Control director, the Safety Professional of the Year for Region VIII, located in the U.S. Northeast region.

The award is given to a safety professional demonstrating outstanding achievement in the safety field while making significant contributions to advancing the profession.

Michael joined CNA in April 2013 and supports the Long Island Branch. He has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. He is the vice chairman of the ASSE Foundation and previously served as the chairman of ASSE's Future Safety Leadership Conference.

Michael will be presenting June 10, 2015, on the evolution of the risk control profession at the ASSE's Safety 2015 conference in Dallas.
