MORRISVILLE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

SciQuest Inc. SQI, a leading provider of cloud-based business automation solutions for spend management, today announced a successful conclusion to NextLevel 2015, the premier event for spend management professionals. Drawing hundreds of attendees from more than 200 organizations to the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in Washington, D.C., the four-day event featured presentations, panel discussions and hands-on training related to spend management, spend analytics, contract management and advanced sourcing.

This year's attendees and presenters included customers, partners and industry experts from organizations such as Brookdale Senior Living, Deloitte, Kellogg's, Kohl's Department Stores, Maersk Group, McCormick & Company, Nielsen, RTI International, Sutter Health and Vulcan Materials, along with many institutions of higher education and state government agencies. The event also included a gripping keynote address from retired Navy Seal Team Six member Robert O'Neill, one of the most highly-decorated combat veterans of our time. In a survey of attendees, 96 percent of respondents rated NextLevel 2015 as "Good" or "Excellent" compared to other conferences they have attended.

In addition to enjoying four days of learning and networking, NextLevel attendees contributed to a good cause by participating in a silent auction with proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project. The auction, which featured items and services donated by attendees, raised thousands of dollars to support injured American troops as they transition to life back home, with SciQuest matching the total dollar amount contributed by attendees.

Each year, NextLevel recognizes customers using SciQuest's solutions to deliver value to their organizations with the Questie Awards. Questie Award winners in 2015 included:

  • Cuyahoga Community College (Product Visionary Award),
  • Drexel University (Technical Innovator),
  • Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Excellence in Performance),
  • Kellogg's (Excellence in Performance),
  • Kohl's Department Stores (Excellence in Performance),
  • Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Technical Innovator),
  • University of Michigan (Excellence in Performance),
  • Vulcan Materials (Rookie of the Year) and
  • Wayne State University (Product Visionary Award).

William Cooper of University of California Procurement Services won the "Industry Influencer" Questie Award, recognizing an individual who has had a significant impact on the procurement industry overall.

"This event continues to grow each year, and 2015 was the biggest and most successful NextLevel yet," said Stephen Wiehe, CEO of SciQuest. "Seeing so many of our friends and colleagues showcase the work they've done and what we've achieved together brings an immense sense of satisfaction to all of us at SciQuest. I believe that our customers represent the very best that the procurement industry has to offer and I'd like to thank so many smart, creative people for taking the time to join us."
