For Profit Education? Only If You mean Losing Profit (STRA)

Strayer Education, Inc. STRA is getting rocked today, one day after Apollo Group APOL significantly lowered its outlook for 2011. Yesterday, Apollo said it sees a possible 40% decline in student registration at its University of Phoenix. It withdrew its forecast for 2011. Strayer is down in sympathy on the severely lowered guidance. Strayer Education, Inc. through Strayer University, Inc., provides various academic programs through traditional classrooms and Internet. At last check, shares of STRA are down $21.01 to $136.04, a loss of 13.3%.
