Union Home Mortgage Corp named as finalist for Ellie Mae Hall Of Fame

Winners will be recognized at Encompass Experience conference for leadership and innovation

Union Home Mortgage Corp. (UHM) announced today that it has been named a finalist for the 2015 Hall of Fame by Ellie Mae®ELLI, a leading provider of enterprise level, on-demand automated solutions for the residential mortgage industry.

Every year, the Ellie Mae Hall of Fame recognizes the best and brightest companies in the mortgage industry that use Ellie Mae's all-in-one Encompass mortgage management solution. The winning companies will be announced and inducted into the Ellie Mae Hall of Fame by U.S. Olympic hockey legend Jim Craig during the morning keynotes on Tuesday, February 24th at Encompass Experience, Ellie Mae's annual user conference, being held in Orlando.

UHM is a full-service mortgage banking company, with offices throughout the U.S. They were named as a finalist in the Compliance Automation category for all three of their business channels: retail, wholesale, and correspondent. They used Mavent to run automatically within Encompass at key milestones throughout the loan process. The IT and Compliance departments at UHM worked together to draft a robust set of business rules. These rules ensured that all required fields were properly populated at the appropriate time in the loan process, before moving to the next stage. This automation was taken to the next step by updating all of the fields required for HDMA and NMLS reporting throughout the loan, further streamlining this reporting process. They also implemented a change committee to increase transparency of this process throughout the company.
