Janus Capital Group Further Expands Global Fund Offering with the Launch of Asian and Japanese Equity Funds

Janus Capital Group Inc. JNS today announced the launch of two new Asia-focused funds and two new Japan-focused funds (the “Funds”), under a sub investment management agreement with DIAM International. DIAM International, based in London, is a wholly owned subsidiary of DIAM Co., Ltd. (“DIAM”), a leading Asian asset manager headquartered in Tokyo, with over USD 146 billion of assets under management, as of September 30, 2014.

The Funds are available within the Janus Capital Funds Plc (“JCF”) range, a UCITS incorporated in Ireland. The specialized Asian and Japanese equity strategies broaden the suite of the JCF fund range available to investors. The Funds include the following:

  • Janus Japan Fund, an unconstrained Japan equity fund with a flexible approach seeking to generate alpha by investing across all market caps, styles and equity sectors.
  • Janus Japan Emerging Opportunities Fund, a Japanese Small- and Mid-Cap equity fund seeking to invest in the growth drivers of the Japanese economy by providing exposure to emerging and potential growth companies.
