The Dow Comes Roaring Back

Today was a great day for the Dow Jones. The Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 273 points to close over 10,000. There were several big winners in the stock market today. The energy and basic materials sector was the biggest beneficiary of the market turnaround. Energy stocks were up 4.47% and basic material stocks were up 3.76%. Shares of retailer Men's Wearhouse (

) advanced 18.9%. Energy companies SunPower Corporation (

) and Andarko Petroleum (

) rose 13% and 12.4% respectively. Just about every major company was up across the board. The question remains, is this the start of a bull market or just a dead cat bounce?
