The Miss HomeStreet Hydroplane Team Will Thank Fans for their Support with Live Entertainment, Food and Exclusive Giveaways

Miss HomeStreet and hydroplane driver Jimmy Shane will hold a rally on Friday, October 6 to celebrate their recent H1 Unlimited National Championship win. Shane will be joined by several members of the Miss HomeStreet crew as well as HomeStreet Bank CEO Mark Mason, who will thank supporters and share his thoughts on the 2017 competitive season. The team will show their appreciation to Seattle-area fans with live music from Seahawks Blue Thunder and local performer Bug Hunter along with giveaways, free burgers from Dick's Drive in and complimentary ice cream treats.

"The entire team worked tirelessly this season to bring the national title home to Seattle," said Miss HomeStreet driver Jimmy Shane. "We can't wait to celebrate the win with the fans who have been with us since the beginning."

DETAILS: Miss HomeStreet hydroplane fans are invited to celebrate the 2017 National Championship win with driver Jimmy Shane, Crew Chief Dan Hoover and Boat Chief Cindy Shirley. Fans will enjoy live music from local artist Bug Hunter, tours of the Miss HomeStreet hydroplane and the opportunity to view the Gold Cup and National Championship trophies. Shane will be available for photos and autographs throughout the event, and attendees will have the chance to grab great giveaways like exclusive rally towels and limited edition 2017 championship collectable pins. The event is open to the public.

About Jimmy Shane: Jimmy Shane joined the Miss Madison Racing Team in 2014 as the 21st driver of the community owned hydroplane. Since being named A.P.B.A. Region 4 "Rookie of the Year" in 2001, Jimmy has won countless races and awards as he gained experience in the Limited Classes. An accomplished fabricator, he has also designed and built record-setting hydroplanes and runabouts. Jimmy first test-drove an Unlimited hydroplane in 2006 in Celina, Ohio, and entered Unlimited competition as a substitute driver at Tri-Cities, WA in 2007. He raced his first full season in the Unlimited series in 2012. Jimmy has quickly accumulated 11 race wins including back-to-back U.I.M. World Championships in 2012 and 2013. Jimmy captured the 2013, 14, 15 & 16 H1 Unlimited Season Driver Championship and back-to-back APBA Gold Cup and H1 Unlimited Season Championships in 2014, 15 and 16. Jimmy is employed as an Integration Engineer at Blue Origin, LLC in Kent Washington. He and wife Bianca both come from boat racing families and reside in Maple Valley, Washington with their sons, Colton and Hudson.
