Oclaro, Inc. OCLR rocketed 17 percent Thursday morning following strong second-quarter outlook — and optical peers enjoyed concurrent boosts.
Late Wednesday, Oclaro reported preliminary revenue surpassing estimates by at least $3 million and an operating income exceeding guidance by between $10 million and $14 million.
This posting appeared to bolster investor optimism in the optical space. As of this report:

- NeoPhotonics Corp NPTN lies 2.4-percent up after an early 3.5-percent spike.
- Acacia Communications, Inc. ACIA rests 3.6 percent higher on the day.
These peer corporations will post financial results at staggered intervals in the coming months.
Lumentum will report its second-quarter earnings February 7, Finisar and Acacia are expected to release third-quarter figures the following week and NeoPhonetics will submit annual filings in mid-March.
