Sonic, verint And Restoration Hardware Moving After Hours

Shares of Sonic Corporation SONC were up almost 3 percent in Tuesday's after hours session, following the announcement of the company’s Q2 results. The operator and franchisor of drive-in restaurants posted earnings of $0.18 per share on revenue of $133.16 million, beating the Street’s consensus of $0.16 per share and $128.73 million.

Sonic said it now expects EPS growth of 20 to 25 percent, up from a previous guidance of 16 to 20 percent. Management also boosted its same-store sales growth projection from 2-4 percent to 4-6 percent. They pointed out they anticipate 50 to 60 new franchise drive-in openings, and a quarterly cash dividend of $.011 per share.

Restoration Hardware Holdings Inc RH was up more than 2.3 percent after the company released its Q4 results. The company posted earnings of $0.98 per share on revenue of $647.21 million, missing analysts’ estimate of $1.33 per share and $712.01 million. In addition, management guided for lower-than-expected first quarter results. They said the poor figures will reflect higher investments aimed at ameliorating its customers' experience.

Verint Systems Inc. VRNT was trading down more than 12 percent after the bell rang. Earnings of $0.90 per share missed estimates of $1.17 per share by a wide margin, same as revenue, which was expected to come in at $319.42 million, but instead came in at $ 281.84 million.
