11 Stocks Moving In Friday's After-Hours Session

Shares of Platform Specialty Products Corp PAH were trading up roughly 6.8 percent on Friday's after-hours session, recuperating some of the ground lost during the day. The stock fell 26.5 percent over the week, and 6.36 percent on Friday alone on apparently no news.

Jason Hall noted in an article published on The Motley Fool: "After a nice run-up following December's CEO announcement, Mr. Market seems to have lost interest" in the small-cap specialty chemical products company.

Also on the rise:

  • Alaska Air Group, Inc. ALK, up more than 5.2 percent after the bell rang.
  • Avon Products, Inc. AVP, up almost 5.8 percent.
  • Newmont Mining Corp NEM, up about 4.7 percent.
  • Noah Holdings Limited (ADR) NOAH, up 4.6 percent.
  • Verisign, Inc. VRSN, up approximately 3.2 percent.
  • Zynga Inc ZNGA, up 2.9 percent.

On the other hand, Seadrill Partners LLC SDLP was down about 6.5 percent on apparently no news. The decline may be a correction of the 7 percent surge the stock experienced over the regular trading session.

  • Xtera Communications Inc XCOM, down 5.8 percent since the market closed.
  • Golar LNG Limited (USA) GLNG, down 4.9 percent.
  • Crescent Point Energy Corporation Ordinary Shares (Canada) CPG, down almost 4.9 percent.
