Thomas Cook Posts Annual Profit

THOMAS COOK GROUP PLC TCKGY posted a profit for the year ended September 30. Thomas Cook swung to a pretax profit of 50 million pounds ($75 million) for the year, versus a year-ago loss of GBP114 million. Profit after tax came in at 19 million pounds, versus a loss of 115 million pounds. Its revenue slipped to GBP7.83 billion from GBP8.59 billion. Peter Fankhauser, CEO, said, "2015 has been a year of real progress as good trading combined with rigorous cost control to deliver our first positive profit after tax in five years."
