5 Stocks Moving On Thursday's After-Hours, Post-Earnings

Shares of Walt Disney Co DIS were trading down roughly 1.25 percent on Thursday after-hours session, following the announcement of the company’s fourth quarter financial results. Earnings of $1.20 per share came in ahead of the Street’s expectations for earnings of $1.17 per share, but revenue of $13.512 billion fell short of consensus of $13.561 billion.

Also moving on its earnings report was Hain Celestial Group Inc HAIN, up merely 0.2 percent after announcing in-line earnings of $0.37 per share on below-consensus sales of $687.19 million – versus the Street’s estimate of $703.03 million.

A bigger gainer was NVIDIA Corporation NVDA, up more than 7.5 percent since the market closed. The tech company comfortably beat estimates, reporting earnings of $0.46 per share on sales of $1.305 billion, well above the Street’s consensus of $0.25 per share and $1.183 billion.

Still, NVIDIA was not among the largest gainers of the afternoon. One stock that was among this group was Tableau Software Inc DATA, up more than 15 percent in after-hours trading, after delivering EPS of $0.14 on revenue of $170.83 million, well above the Street’s consensus, which called for earnings of $0.07 per share on sales of $156.96 million.

Back to decliners, Tripadvisor Inc TRIP was down more than 5.5 percent since the bell rang after reporting earnings of $0.53 per share on revenue of $415 million, missing the Street’s consensus estimate, which called for earnings of $0.55 per share and revenue of $429.61 million.
