Stocks To Watch For October 1, 2015

Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are: Wall Street expects Micron Technology, Inc. MU to report its quarterly earnings at $0.33 per share on revenue of $3.56 billion. Micron shares climbed 4.17 percent to close at $14.98 yesterday. PBF Energy Inc PBF announced its plans to buy a 155,000 barrel-per-day Torrance refinery (and its related logistics assets) from Exxon Mobil Corporation XOM for $537.5 million, plus working capital that will be valued at the closing of the agreement. PBF Energy shares climbed 4.32 percent to $29.45 in the after-hours trading session, while fell 0.22 percent to $74.19 in after-hours trading. Analysts are expecting McCormick & Company, Incorporated MKC to have earned $0.87 per share on revenue of $1.06 billion in the latest quarter. McCormick shares fell 0.35 percent to $81.88 in after-hours trading. Shares of Synaptics Inc. SYNA jumped 27.31 percent Wednesday, as Bloomberg reported the company had rejected an offer of $110 per share from a state-backed Chinese investment group, according to sources. The offer would have valued Synaptics at about $4 billion, but the company reportedly wanted as much as $125 per share. Synaptics shares rose 0.65 percent to $83.00 in the after-hours trading session. Analysts expect Progress Software Corporation PRGS to post its quarterly earnings at $0.37 per share on revenue of $104.29 million. Progress Software shares gained 1.57 percent to close at $25.83 yesterday.
