Haier 2014 Profit Surges

Chinese company

reported a 20% rise in its 2014 net profit. Haier's net profit for the year climbed to 2.45 billion yuan (US$394.5 million), versus a year-ago profit of CNY2.04 billion. Its revenue also gained 7.8% to CNY67.13 billion versus CNY62.26 billion. The company's board proposed a final dividend of 11 Hong Kong cents a share, compared to 10 Hong Kong cents a share in 2013.
