BMW Posts Rise In 2014 Profit, Plans To Increase Dividend

Germany's BMW AG BAMXY reported a 9.2% rise in its profit and announced its plans to increase its 2014 dividend. BMW's net profit climbed to 5.82 billion euros ($6.19 billion), versus a year-ago profit of EUR5.33 billion. Profit before tax climbed 10.3% to 8.71 billion euros, compared to 7.89 billion euros. EPS climbed to 8.83 euros from 8.08 euros. Its revenue surged 5.7% to EUR80.4 billion, compared to EUR76.1 billion. Sales volumes increased 7.9% to 2.1 million vehicles in 2014. BMW plans to lift its dividend to EUR2.90, versus EUR2.60. The company projects sales volumes to rise in 2015. BMW shares gained 3.28% to close at $41.85 yesterday.
