HNI Corporation HNI announced 3Q 2014 earnings on Wednesday.
Sales for the third quarter ended September 27, 2014, were $614.7 million, above estimates of $593.27 million and above the $565.71 reported for the same period in 2013.
Net income was $33.6 million, or $0.74 per diluted share, above analyst estimates of $0.71 and above the $0.61 reported for the same period in 2013.
The company raised its full year guidance range to $1.95 to $2.00 per share.
"We enter the fourth quarter with solid momentum in our hearth and office furniture businesses, and remain on track to grow sales and significantly increase profits in 2014. We continue to aggressively invest for long-term profitable growth, and I remain confident our investments are increasing shareholder value," said Chairman, President and CEO Stan Askren.
HNI Corporation closed Wednesday at $36.18, up 0.39 percent.
