Stocks To Watch For September 23, 2014

Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are: Wall Street expects Carnival CCL to report its Q3 earnings at $1.44 per share on revenue of $4.93 billion. Carnival shares slipped 0.05% to $40.32 in after-hours trading. Ascena Retail Group ASNA reported downbeat fourth-quarter earnings and issued a weak outlook. Ascena Retail shares dipped 11.68% to $14.60 in the after-hours trading session. Analysts are expecting Bed Bath & Beyond BBBY to have earned $1.14 per share on revenue of $2.89 billion in the second quarter. Bed Bath & Beyond shares dropped 0.57% to $63.33 in after-hours trading. Allergan AGN rejected a takeover bid from Actavis plc ACT, according to a report from WSJ. Allergan is set to acquire Salix Pharmaceuticals SLXP in a deal probably worth more than $10 billion, according to Dow Jones Newswires. Salix Pharma shares jumped 10.59% to $176.75 in the after-hours trading session, while Allergan shares declined 1.24% to close at $166.12 yesterday. Actavis shares gained 0.58% to $236.99 in after-hours trading. Steelcase SCS is projected to post its Q2 earnings at $0.23 per share on revenue of $784.47 million. Steelcase shares fell 2.80% to close at $15.60 yesterday. Analysts expect CarMax KMX to report its Q2 earnings at $0.67 per share on revenue of $3.57 billion. CarMax shares declined 0.59% to $52.50 in after-hours trading.
