Siemens AG SIEGY announced its plans to acquire Dresser-Rand DRC for $7.6 billion. Dresser-Rand shares jumped 3.45% to $82.67 in the after-hours trading session, while Siemens shares fell 1.90% to close at $124.00 on Friday.
Analysts are expecting Ascena Retail Group ASNA to have earned $0.18 per share on revenue of $1.21 billion in the fourth quarter. Ascena Retail shares fell 0.82% to close at $16.93 on Friday.
Shares of Alibaba Group Holding BABA jumped 38% on its first day of trading. Alibaba priced its initial public offering of 320,106,100 American depositary shares, each representing one of its ordinary shares, at a price of US$68 per ADS. Cantor Fitzgerald initiated coverage on Alibaba with a Buy rating. Alibaba shares declined 0.63% to $93.30 in the after-hours trading session.
GameStop GME priced its offering of $350 million in aggregate principal amount of its 5.50% senior notes due 2019. GameStop shares dipped 1.92% to close at $43.38 on Friday.
