Stocks To Watch For June 16, 2014

Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are: Wall Street expects Layne Christensen Company LAYN to report a Q1 loss at $0.34 per share on revenue of $206.58 million. Layne Christensen shares dropped 1.78% to close at $14.90 on Friday. Medtronic MDT announced its plans to buy Covidien plc COV for $42.9 billion in cash and stock. Medtronic shares fell 0.15% to close at $60.70 on Friday, while Covidien shares declined 0.03% to close at $72.02 on Friday. Analysts are expecting Amira Nature Foods ANFI to have earned $0.33 per share on revenue of $162.20 million in the fourth quarter. Amira Nature Foods shares tumbled 2.71% to close at $12.93 on Friday. Shares of OpenTable OPEN surged more than 48% on Friday after Priceline Group PCLN announced its plans to buy OpenTable for $103 per share. OpenTable shares jumped 48.35% to close at $104.48 on Friday, while Priceline shares fell 2.99% to close at $1,189.30 on Friday. Analysts expect Korn/Ferry International KFY to post its Q4 earnings at $0.39 per share on revenue of $244.61 million. Korn/Ferry shares slipped 1.76% to close at $30.19 on Friday.
