Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are:

Wall Street expects Ford Motor Co (NYSE: F) to report its Q1 earnings at $0.31 per share on revenue of $34.06 billion. Ford shares rose 0.55% to $16.41 in after-hours trading.

Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) reported better-than-expected fiscal third-quarter earnings. Microsoft's quarterly profit declined to $5.66 billion, or $0.68 per share, versus a year-ago profit of $6.06 billion, or $0.72 per share. Its revenue came in at $20.4 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.63 per share on revenue of $20.39 billion. Microsoft shares surged 2.51% to $40.86 in the after-hours trading session.

Analysts are expecting Colgate-Palmolive Co (NYSE: CL) to have earned $0.68 per share on revenue of $4.32 billion in the first quarter. Colgate-Palmolive shares gained 0.74% to $66.92 in after-hours trading.

Amazon.com (NASDAQ: AMZN) reported a surge in its first-quarter revenue. The company's quarterly revenue climbed to $19.74 billion from $16.07 billion, beating analysts' estimates of $19.4 billion. The company posted its profit of $108 million, or $0.23 per share, versus a year-earlier profit of $82 million, or $0.18 per share. Amazon shares gained 0.25% to $337.99 in the after-hours trading session.

Analysts expect Whirlpool (NYSE: WHR) to report its Q1 earnings at $2.33 per share on revenue of $4.30 billion. Whirlpool shares surged 0.58% to $155.55 in after-hours trading.

Visa (NYSE: V) reported weaker-than-expected fiscal second-quarter revenue. The company's operating revenue surged to $3.16 billion from $2.96 billion, missing analysts' estimates of $3.19 billion. Visa shares tumbled 4.49% to $200.00 in the after-hours trading session.
