UPDATE: Vimpelcom Posts Q4 Net Loss

Russian company Vimpelcom

reported a net loss in the fourth quarter. Vimpelcom posted a quarterly net loss of $2.7 billion, versus a year-ago profit of $195 million. However, analysts were expecting a profit of $437 million. Its revenue slipped 7% to $5.6 billion, while earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation declined 3% to $2.4 billion. Vimpelcom shares closed at $9.80 yesterday.
