German company Merck KGaA MKGAY reported a gain in its fourth-quarter underlying profit.
Merck KGaA's quarterly earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortisation rose 0.7% to 795.2 million euros ($1.1 billion). However, analysts were expecting earnings of 784 million euros.
In 2013, Merck KGaA's revenue from Rebif dropped 1.5% to 1.86 billion euros ($2.56 billion).
Merck KGaA's shares closed at $57.41 yesterday.
