DaVita HealthCare Partners DVA reported a rise in its fourth-quarter earnings.
DaVita lifted its 2014 operating profit forecast to $1.73 billion to $1.86 billion.
DaVita's quarterly profit surged to $212.3 million, or $0.99 per share, versus $155.8 million, or $0.75 per share, in the year-ago period.
Its total net revenue climbed 24% to $3.06 billion. However, analysts were projecting a profit of $0.98 per share on revenue of $3.02 billion.
DaVita shares gained 5.70% to $68.00 in pre-market trading.
