UPDATE: NYSE Euronext Q3 Profit Surges 21%

NYSE Euronext NYX reported a 21% increase in its Q3 net income. NYSE Euronext's quarterly net income surged to $178 million, or $0.73 per share, from a year-ago profit of $108 million, or $0.44 per share. Excluding one-time items, it earned $0.53 per share, versus analysts' estimates of $0.55 per share. Its net revenue rose 3% to $574 million, missing analysts' estimates of $582.3 million. Its revenue from derivatives climbed 1% to $166 million. NYSE Euronext shares closed at $44.18 yesterday.
