UPDATE: Bristol-Myers Posts Q3 Profit

Bristol-Myers Squibb Co BMY posted a profit in the third quarter. Bristol-Myers posted a quarterly profit of $692 million, or $0.42 per share, versus a year-ago loss of $711 million, or $0.43 per share. Excluding these items, it earned $0.46 per share, beating analysts' estimates of $0.44 per share. Its sales climbed 9% to $4.07 billion, versus estimates of $4 billion. Bristol-Myers shares closed at $49.73 yesterday.
