Boeing Co (NYSE: BA) reported a 12% rise in its third-quarter profit.

Boeing's quarterly profit surged to $1.2 billion, or $1.51 per share, versus a year-ago profit of $1.0 billion, or $1.35 per share. Its adjusted earnings rose to $1.80 per share from $1.55 per share.

Its revenue climbed to $22.1 billion from $20.0 billion. However, analysts were estimating earnings of $1.51 per share on revenue of $21.7 billion.

Boeing lifted its full-year earnings forecast to a range of $5.40 to $5.55 per share, versus its previous outlook of $5.10 to $5.30 per share.

Boeing shares gained 3.34% to $126.57 in pre-market trading.
