UPDATE: Francesca's Posts Downbeat Q2 Results

Francesca's Holdings FRAN reported downbeat second-quarter results. Francesca's expects third-quarter profit of $0.19 to $0.21 per share, versus analysts' estimates of $0.30 per share. It also projects current-quarter sales of $78 million to $80 million, versus estimates of $89.7 million. Francesca's quarterly net income surged to $14.6 million, or $0.33 per share, from $12.7 million, or $0.28 per share, in the year-ago period. Its net sales climbed 17% to $89.6 million. However, analysts were estimating a profit of $0.35 per share on revenue of $94.5 million. Its comparable sales fell 1%. Francesca's shares tumbled 20.77% to $19.03 in pre-market trading.
