Royal Bank of Canada Posts Rise In Q3 Profit, Lifts Dividend

reported a rise in its third-quarter profit. The bank lifted its quarterly dividend by 6% to 67 Canadian cents per share. The bank's quarterly earnings surged to C$2.3 billion ($2.19 billion), or C$1.52 per share, from C$2.2 billion, or C$1.47 per share, in the year-ago period. Royal Bank of Canada shares closed at $61.53 yesterday.
