China Construction Bank H1 Net Profit Surges 13%

China Construction Bank

reported a 13% rise in its first-half net profit. China Construction Bank's net profit for the six months surged to 119.71 billion yuan ($19.6 billion), from CNY106.28 billion, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting a profit of CNY118.07 billion. Its net interest income increased 11% to CNY187.66 billion from CNY169.69 billion. China Construction Bank shares closed at $14.90 on Friday.
