Hon Hai Q2 Net Profit Up 89%

Hon Hai Precision Industry Co HNHPF reported an 89% rise in its second-quarter net profit. Hon Hai's quarterly net profit surged to 23.81 billion New Taiwan dollars ($794.6 million), versus NT$12.60 billion, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting a profit of NT$16.32 billion. Its revenue gained to NT$895.62 billion from NT$891.90 billion. Hon Hai shares closed at $4.91 yesterday.
