Canadian Solar Receives OHSAS and ISO Certifications for North American Factory

today announced that its subsidiary, Canadian Solar Manufacturing Ontario Inc., has received the OHSAS 18001: 2007 health and safety management system and ISO 14001: 2004  environmental management system, certifications of conformance. The internationally recognized certifications were authorized by TUV Rheinland, a premier global provider of systems certification to a number of management system standards. Canadian Solar opened its Guelph, Ontario manufacturing facility in January 2011. The facility is the largest solar panel module manufacturing plant in Canada.  Canadian Solar is part of a very select group of elite tier 1 PV solar producers to implement a fully integrated 3 Tier management system obtaining full compliance certification for the ISO 9001 Quality Standard, ISO 14001 Environmental Standard and the OHSAS 18001 Health and Safety System.  These certifications obtained by Canadian Solar Manufacturing Ontario Inc. are in addition to the module manufacturing facilities in China which are certified to these certifications which are in good standing.
