Retailer Zumiez ZUMZ released its fiscal fourth-quarter financial results on Thursday after the opening bell. The company reported net income of $22.9 million or $0.74 per share, compared to $18.7 million or $0.60 per share, in the year ago period. This compared to Wall Street analysts' consensus EPS estimates of $0.73.
Sales in the quarter were up 22.1 percent to $224.4 million from $183.9 million last year. This came in slightly ahead of consensus sales estimates for Zumiez of $223.39 million.
Looking ahead to fiscal Q1, the company said that it sees EPS of $0.04 to $0.07 on sales of $141 million to $144 million. Currently, analysts' have consensus EPS estimates of $0.13 on sales of $144.91 million for the first-quarter.
In after hours trading, ZUMZ was last down a little more than 2 percent after the company topped Q4 expectations but provided a weak Q1 outlook.
