Buckle Reports Same-Store Sales Rose 0.8% In January

Buckle (NYSE: BKE) reported a 9.4% rise in its fiscal fourth-quarter earnings.

Buckle's quarterly profit surged to $61.4 million, or $1.28 per share, from $56.1 million, or $1.18 per share, in the year-ago period.

Its sales rose 7% to $360.6 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $1.25 per share on sales of $357 million.

Its gross margin widened to 48% from 47.4%.

Buckle shares gained 0.49% to $47.50 in pre-market trading.
