Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are:

Wall Street expects Wal-Mart Stores (NYSE: WMT) to report its Q4 earnings at $1.57 per share on revenue of $128.85 billion. Wal-Mart shares fell 0.88% to $68.60 in after-hours trading.

VeriFone Systems (NYSE: PAY) lowered its first-quarter outlook. VeriFone shares tumbled 32.55% to $21.51 in the after-hours trading session.

Analysts are expecting Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE: HPQ) to have earned $0.71 per share on revenue of $27.79 billion in the first quarter. Hewlett-Packard shares gained 0.36% to $16.76 in after-hours trading.

Tesla Motors (NASDAQ: TSLA) reported a Q4 adjusted loss of $0.65 per share. However, analysts were expecting a loss of $0.59 per share. Tesla shares dipped 6.07% to $36.20 in the after-hours trading session.

Analysts expect Safeway (NYSE: SWY) to report its Q4 earnings at $0.76 per share on revenue of $13.70 billion. Safeway shares dropped 1.61% to close at $20.13 yesterday.
