UPDATE: EOG Resources Posts Upbeat Q4 Profit

reported a loss in the fourth quarter. EOG Resources posted a quarterly loss of $505 million, or $1.88 per share, versus a year-ago profit of $120.7 million, or $0.45 per share. Excluding one-time items, EOG earned $1.61 per share, versus analysts' estimates of $1.35 per share. EOG Resources shares gained 1.05% to $135.00 in after-hours trading.
