Nomura Holdings Posts Surge In Quarterly Profit

reported a surge in its profit for the October-December period. Nomura's quarterly profit jumped to Y20.1 billion, from Y17.82 billion, in the year-ago period. Its net profit in the July-September quarter was Y2.81 billion. Its revenue fell to Y458.98 billion from Y481.50 billion. Nomura shares gained 2.17% to close at $5.66 yesterday.
