UPDATE: KeyCorp Q4 Profit Rises 1.5%

KeyCorp KEY reported a 1.5% rise in its fourth-quarter profit. KeyCorp's quarterly profit surged to $203 million, from $200 million, in the year-ago period. Its per-share earnings rose to $0.21 from $0.20. Its total revenue climbed 9.8% to $1.07 billion. However, analysts were expecting a profit of $0.21 per share on revenue of $1.06 billion. KeyCorp's noninterest expenses rose 5.4% to $756 million. KeyCorp shares closed at $9.30 yesterday.
