DaVita, the kidney care division of DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc.
(NYSE: DVA) and a leading provider of kidney care services, today
announced it has acquired nine dialysis centers from Fresenius Medical
Care (NYSE: FMS), a leading provider of dialysis services and manufacturer
of dialysis products. Five of the clinics are located in Portugal and
four clinics are located in Poland.

“After initially investing in Germany in 2011, DaVita is happy to expand
its geographical presence in Europe and secure its long-term presence in
