Polaris Industries PII reported upbeat third-quarter results and lifted its full-year view.
Polaris now projects 2012 earnings of $4.32 to $4.37 per share, versus its earlier outlook of $4.05 to $4.15 per share.
Polaris' quarterly net income surged to $94.3 million, or $1.33 per share, from $67.6 million, or $0.95 per share, in the year-ago period.
Its revenue climbed 21% to $879.9 million, while North American retail sales surged more than 10%. Analysts were expecting earnings of $1.20 per share on revenue of $830.5 million.
Polaris shares closed at $85.28 yesterday.
