UPDATE: U.S. Bancorp Posts Rise In Q3 Earnings

U.S. Bancorp USB reported a rise in its third-quarter earnings on Wednesday. U.S. Bancorp's quarterly earnings climbed to $1.47 billion, or $0.74 per share, from $1.27 billion, or $0.64 per share, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.74 per share. U.S. Bancorp shares closed at $33.61 yesterday.
