UPATE: Piedmont Natural Gas Posts Narrower FQ3 Loss

Piedmont Natural Gas Co PNY reported a narrower fiscal third-quarter loss. Piedmont Natural Gas posted a quarterly loss of $4.6 million, or $0.06 per share, versus a year-ago loss of $8.7 million, or $0.12 per share. However, analysts were expecting a loss of $0.08 per share. Its revenue declined 18% to $161.1 million, versus $197.3 million. Its cost of gas fell 35% to $74.7 million. Piedmont Natural Gas shares closed at $32.11 on Friday.
