Excluding other items, Guidewire Software earned $0.10 per share. Its revenue surged 33% to $67.6 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.04 per share on revenue of $62 million. Its gross margin declined to 59.7% from 63%, while operating expenses fell 5.5%. Guidewire Software's services revenue surged 61%, while license revenue rose 11%. Guidewire Software shares jumped 12.61% to $33.05 in the after-hours trading session.
