Kepco Posts Wider Q2 Net Loss

Korea Electric Power KEP posted a wider consolidated net loss in the second quarter. Kepco posted a quarterly net loss of 1.784 trillion won (US$1.58 billion), versus a year-ago loss of KRW1.086 trillion. Its quarterly operating loss widened to KRW1.956 trillion, from KRW797 billion, in the year-ago period. Its sales climbed 16.4% to KRW10.612 trillion. Kepco shares closed at $10.72 yesterday.
