UPDATE: Allscripts Posts 50% Decline In Q2 Profit, Lifts Full-Year Forecast
Allscripts Healthcare Solutions (NASDAQ: MDRX) reported a 50% drop in its second-quarter profit.
For the full year, Allscripts lifted its earnings forecast. It now expects earnings of $0.77 to $0.83 per share, versus its earlier forecast of $0.74 to $0.80 per share.
Allscripts posted its quarterly profit at $8 million, or $0.04 per share, versus $15.9 million, or $0.08 per share, in the year-earluer period. Excluding other items, Allscripts earned $0.16 per share.
Its sales rose 3.7% to $370 million. However, analysts were estimating earnings of $0.18 per share on revenue of $370 million.
Its gross margin declined to 42.6% from 47%.
Allscripts shares closed at $9.60 yesterday.
