UPDATE: Marsh & McLennan Q2 Profit Up 20%

reported a 20% rise in its second-quarter profit. Marsh & McLennan's quarterly net income surged to $339 million, or $0.60 per share, versus $286 million, or $0.50 per share, in the year-ago period. Its total revenue gained 3% to $3 billion. Marsh & McLennan shares closed at $33.39 yesterday.
