Caesars Entertainment (NASDAQ: CZR) reported a wider second-quarter loss.

Caesars posted a quarterly loss of $241.7 million, or $1.93 per share, versus a year-ago loss of $155.5 million or $1.24 per share.

Its revenue rose to $2.17 billion from $2.16 billion. However, analysts were expecting a loss of $0.82 per share on revenue of $2.29 billion.

Caesars shares closed at $8.47 yesterday.
