Isuzu Motors Posts Surge In Q1 Net Profit

reported a rise in its net profit for the first quarter. Isuzu Motors' quarterly net profit surged to 21.62 billion yen ($276.5 million), versus a year-ago net profit of Y8.74 billion. Its sales climbed 37.7% to Y391.72 billion from Y284.39 billion, while operating profit surged to Y28.11 billion from Y14.37 billion. Isuzu Motors continues to expect current fiscal-year net profit of Y81 billion on sales of Y1.630 trillion.
