UPDATE: Huntington Posts Upbeat Q2 profit, Declares Dividend

Huntington Bancshares (NASDAQ: HBAN) posted a better-than-expected second-quarter profit.
Huntington's quarterly net income climbed to $152.7 million, or $0.17 per share, versus $145.9 million, or $0.16 per share, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.15 per share.
Net charge-offs declined to $84.2 million, versus $97.5 million. Huntington declared a quarterly dividend of $0.04 per share.
Huntington shares closed at $6.60 yesterday.
