Akzo Nobel Q2 Net Profit Drops 25%

Akzo Nobel NV (OTC: AKZOY) reported a 25% decline in its second quarter net profit.

Akzo Nobel's quarterly net profit fell to EUR201 million, from EUR268 million, in the year-ago period. Its revenue rose 8% to EUR4.1 billion. Decorative Paints revenue gained 6% in the same period.

Akzo Nobel shares closed at $16.53 yesterday.
