Stocks To Watch For July 3

Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are: Shares of Acuity Brands AYI jumped 15.83% yesterday after the company reported an upbeat Q3 adjusted profit. Acuity Brands shares closed at $58.97 yesterday. Microsoft MSFT announced a $6.2 billion charge for the fourth quarter related to the company's acquisition of aQuantive in 2007. Microsoft shares dropped 0.92% to $30.28 in the after-hours trading session. Auto makers are scheduled to report US sales figures for June. Ford Motor Co F, Toyota Motor TM, General Motors GM, Honda Motor Co HMC and the other auto makers are expected to report June sales. Men's Wearhouse MW announced the departure of its Chief Financial Officer Neill Davis. Davis will join Francesca's Holdings FRAN as President. Men's Wearhouse shares fell 0.74% to $28.10 in after-hours trading, while Francesca's shares gained 1.63% to close at $27.45 yesterday. Shares of BrightPoint CELL surged 66.54% yesterday after the company agreed to be bought by Ingram Micro IM for $650 million. BrightPoint shares declined 0.55% to $8.96 in after-hours trading, while Ingram Micro shares rose 0.28% to $17.60 in the after-hours trading session.
